Managed IT

One number, whatever just broke.

Cameras, doors, networks, phones and backups all run on the same infrastructure, and most small businesses have nobody whose job it is to look after it. Managed IT is the arrangement where that stops being your problem — we watch it, patch it, and answer the phone when something goes wrong. Take all of it, or just the parts you need.

Monitoring and maintenance

Most failures announce themselves before they happen — a disk filling, a service restarting nightly, a backup that quietly started failing. Watching for that is the difference between a scheduled fix and a morning with nothing working.

  • Health watched continuously rather than checked when you ask
  • Updates and patches applied on a schedule, not deferred until something breaks
  • Alerts tuned to things worth acting on, because nuisance alerts get ignored
  • A record of what changed, for when something starts misbehaving

Helpdesk and remote support

Someone to call when a machine won't print, a mailbox is full, or a new starter needs setting up. Most of it gets fixed remotely in the time it would take to book a visit.

  • One number for anything on the network — no refereeing between vendors
  • Remote access, so most problems are solved without a drive
  • Requests tracked in your portal rather than lost in an inbox
  • On site when it genuinely needs hands

Take all of it, or part of it

Managed IT covers everything we do, but it isn't all or nothing. Plenty of customers have us watch the cameras and the backups while their own person handles the desktops — or the reverse. What matters is that whatever we're responsible for, we're actually responsible for it.

  • Any combination of cameras, access, network, voice and backup
  • Add a service later without starting the relationship again
  • Clear about what we cover and what we don't, in writing
  • One agreement and one invoice, however many pieces

Planning and budgeting

Equipment ages, warranties lapse, and software reaches end of support whether or not anyone is tracking it. Knowing what needs replacing next year is the difference between a planned purchase and an emergency one.

  • An inventory of what you actually have, kept current
  • Warning before warranties and support dates run out
  • Guidance on what to replace and when, ahead of failure
  • Budget conversations in advance rather than after a breakdown
How it works

Everything we manage appears in your HeMi portal — tickets, contracts, scheduled visits, device status and backup results, in one place you can check yourself. Managed IT isn't a black box you pay for and hope about; you can see what we're watching and what state it's in.

Common questions

Do we have to take everything?

No. Take one service or all of them, and add more later. The only thing we'd push back on is being asked to support something we can't see — monitoring is what makes the rest work.

What if we already have an IT person?

That's common and it works well. They handle the day to day and we cover the specialist systems — cameras, access, network, backups. We'd rather complement someone than compete with them.

The rest of the stack

One team for all four systems.

Most sites need more than one of these, and they work better when the same team designs them together.
